It's in the forest. I looked it up on Google Earth and there's nothing for miles around; just the villas and the forest and the river.
No alcohol or tobacco allowed on the premises; a diet that excludes all meat, fish and eggs; a regime in which every day starts with an hour and a half of yoga and ends with an hour and a half of yoga. I've had Ayurvedic treatments before, and take masochistic pleasure in the harsh regime. This time it's a necessity rather than a perverse luxury. I need to lose weight so I can have surgery for a prosthetic hip. The weight has crept on for many reasons, and I have never felt so lethargic and unhealthy.
I'll tell you what it's like, day by day, but first I have to pack, and then I have to get there.
